through the night, an OP ABO zine

Welcome to "Through the Night", a One Piece ABO (Omegaverse) zine.

General Info

What is a zine?
A Zine is a collection of fics and art about one subject, theme, character or group. This all is bundled into one solid work to enjoy like one would a magazine.
What is this zine?
That I can answer in two parts;
1. We're a part of the Newscoozines, meaning this zine won't work with apps but will have sign-ups so everyone who qualifies (i.e. is 18 or older) can join as long as they sign up. For the post part we make free zines, unless otherwise specified. This is a free zine downloadable at the end.
2. We chose the theme ABO (Omegaverse or Alpha, beta, omega dynamics). Which is a subgenre of smut where at least one character is an omega and as such goes into heat. Given the theme, this will be a NSFW zine.
More on ABO can be found here.
Do I have to have previous Zine experience to join?
No, the only requirement is that you are 18 or older when sign-ups end.
Do I have to write smut in this zine?
No, while Omegaverse is a kink/smut theme we are well aware not everyone is comfortable with that. As such we give you the choice of creating within three categories:
- Dawn - sfw content
- Midnight - nsfw content
- Witching hour - Dead dove content
sfw = safe for work (generally gen or teen rated), nsfw = not safe for work (generally mature or explicit rated, dead dove = everything goes as long as it's tagged, this means everything from extreme kinks to dark content
Can I create for more than one category?
Yes, you can create for all three if you'd like. So every contributor can create three pieces max.

Guidelines

GUIDELINES
We’ll be working with only one zine, divided into three categories.
General
Seeing as this is a NSFW zine, we're looking for contributors of 18 years or older.
As the theme of the zine is ABO or Omegaverse, we expect your piece to revolve around this theme. You do not need to sign up with an ABO theme piece, but we would appreciate at least one One Piece piece.
You will be expected to make something entirely new, no reusing old works.
We also won't allow any copied, stolen or AI-created art/fics.
You can make pieces with canon characters in a pairing, or in a poly relationship. Pieces with OCs are also allowed.
Page Artist
Page artists are expected to create at least one piece (you can make up to three).
These can be single page (vertical orientation) or spread page (horizontal orientation).
Examples for page art could be: Scenery focussed art, character focused art, comic or manga-strip style pages, or scrapbook/polaroid-pinboard style pieces. Other ideas are also welcome.
Pieces have to be provided to us in RGB colours, fully rendered with background.
When signing up, please link your 3 - 5 best pieces in a format we can open (social media links, Gdrive or OneDrive links with permissions on viewing) so we can get an idea of your art style. Links we can't open won't be counted, and anything less than three example pieces will mean you will be disqualified.
Our choices will be made based on:
- Characterization
- Shading, color theory
- Backgrounds
- Basic knowledge of anatomy
Spot Artist
We're expecting you to add art to at least two of our writer's pieces. This can be done by up to 3 smaller pieces throughout the fic or a header and a footer piece.
Pieces have to be provided to us in RGB colours in full colour.
Writer
We're expecting you to create at least one fic of about 2000 words.
Pieces have to be provided to us in a sharable format, so Gdrive or OneDrive.
When signing up, please link your 3 - 5 best pieces in a format we can open (AO3 links, social media links, Gdrive or OneDrive links with permissions on viewing) so we can get an idea of your writing style. Links we can't open won't be counted and anything less than three example pieces will mean you will be disqualified.
Our choices will be made based on:
- Characterization
- Length
- Depth of the storyline
- ability to tell a story within the given word count limit
